I’m Mohamed Rafi, the founder of Z Cafe. If you had told me years ago that one day I’d build a company serving over 1,85,000 cups of tea and coffee every single day, I might have smiled—but deep inside, I always believed it was possible.
My journey began not as a business owner but as a machine service technician. I used to go from place to place repairing vending machines for other companies. While I was fixing them, I kept thinking—why not create something of my own? A vending machine that not only works better but serves better. A taste that people would remember.
Our Story
I’m Mohamed Rafi, the founder of Z Cafe. If you had told me years ago that one day I’d build a company serving over 1,85,000 cups of tea and coffee every single day, I might have smiled—but deep inside, I always believed it was possible.
My journey began not as a business owner but as a machine service technician. I used to go from place to place repairing vending machines for other companies. While I was fixing them, I kept thinking—why not create something of my own? A vending machine that not only works better but serves better. A taste that people would remember.
With nothing but determination in hands and a dream in heart, I decided to take the leap On October 16, 2012. Supported whole-heartedly by one of my younger brother Arshad, I started building Z Cafe from the ground up. The early days were extremely challenging. Sales were low, resources were limited and there were moments when I questioned myself. But I kept going.
Two years later, my younger brother Ramshad joined hands to take the business to the next level. With his entry, expansion became smoother and more structured and the business soon shifted base to Perinthalmanna.
One of the biggest strengths of Z Cafe is our commitment to uniqueness. We didn’t just stop at manufacturing vending machines—we created our own exclusive varieties of tea and coffee powders, carefully crafted to deliver taste and freshness with every cup. These custom blends became our signature, winning the trust of clients and expanding our presence across various sectors.
What started as a one-man dream gradually transformed into a full-fledged business with a dedicated team and a massive client base. Today, Z Cafe proudly serves over 1,85,000 cups of tea and coffee daily, a number that reflects not just our reach, but the trust we’ve earned.
Our success is deeply rooted in teamwork and values. Every person in our team plays a vital role, working with the same passion that I had when I first started. From offices to hospitals to public places—our machines started showing up everywhere. And with them, so did our vision. I believe that real growth comes not just from numbers but from the relationships we build—with our clients, our team and our community.
Today, when I see how far we’ve come—from a struggling start to becoming a trusted name in the industry—I feel proud, not just of myself, but of everyone who believed in me. My family, my team and every customer who chose Z Cafe over and over again.
This journey hasn’t been easy. But every struggle, every late night and every small success shaped me and this brand. We are still growing, still learning and still committed to delivering the best—one cup at a time.
